EF Special Collections

Special Collections at Editorial Facsimile Library includes a wide range of zines, artists books and rare books.

This small but significant collection of publications began in 2015. It represents the work of current artists, particularly those who are active in the international publishing network.

Zine Collection
We have a collection around 500 zines with topics such as memory, war, illustration, mental health, nature, sexuality, feminism, music, poetry, among others. It is a collection for teaching and learning purposes to encourage zine makers and beginners find inspiration and new perspectives.

Mexican Miniature Artist Book Collection
We have a collection around 100 artists books in a miniature size, an often-used definition is that a piece of miniature art can be held in the palm of the hand. Our intention is to open a debate to reflect, experiment and discuss about the size in books, support and celebrate small editions.

Rare Book Collection
We have a collection around 50 book works that may not be in other special collections because its complex characteristics and difficult way to catalogue them and consider them as a book or art multiple.

Our policy is to purchase only items during art book fairs, zine fairs and exhibitions. It you would like to be part of these collections, please send us an invitation to your event or make a donation by post. We are working on a catalogue and developing a space in Mexico for its dissemination, research and appreciation. They can be viewed by appointment at the moment: editorialfacsimile@gmail.com
