About the event
SMALL PUBLISHING SEMINAR
THIRD SESSION: CONTENT
Free and open to only 10 UAL students*
Venue: Camberwell Learning Zone
Date: Friday, 11 May 2018 from 4 to 7 pm
As part of ‘Small Publishing Unfair!’ an exhibition at Camberwell College of Arts Library from 30 April – 21 May 2018, join us for this seminar with Editorial Facsimile, you can attend only one session but it is highly recommended to attend all the seminar.
We will study what it is a content in publishing.
We will have a look at some artists’ books from EF Special Collections.
We will propose and develop a content for a small edition.
We will end with a small edition.
Part one: 50 minutes
Introduction and sharing artists’ books.
Brainstorming and conversation about the edition
Break time: 10 minutes
Part two: 100 minutes
Sketching and develop the content.
Manufacture and evaluation of the small edition.
Conversation: 20 minutes
Every student must bring its own sketchbook, notebook or reflective journal. We will share materials but if you have some of the following, please bring them: Cutter, pencil, stapler, eraser, cutting board, bone folder, ruler.
